The Young Fashion Designer's Association (YFDA) is a not-for-profit association whose membership will consists of emerging young fashion designers who are striving to become relevant in the fashion world. The word "Young" meaning developing their craft and emerging into the fashion world. There is an age limit where as an Emerging Member must be 21 years old or older, our Junior Members must be 18 to 20 years old. Designers will specialize in all facets of fashion design including womenswear, menswear, jewelry, interior and accessory design. Designers should be emerging designers who have not been signed to any major distribution or publicity deals. This association is designed to recognize emerging creative talent in the industry. The association will offer programs which support professional development and scholarships, including the YFDA Design Scholar Award and Scholarship yearly. Support of members is provided through the Business Web, a high-profile group of companies offering designers strategic opportunities and discounted services.
The YFDA will also raise funds for human causes through fashion events
